The Monday Funnies

The events of recent days between the Anglicans and Catholics are weighty indeed, but not so much that cartoonists can't get into the act. Here's a cartoon that came my way. I am happy to post more if you find them. And we are waiting for Dave Walker to come up with something (hint, hint).

Enjoy your Monday Funny Page...

I have to admit that I find it somewhat perturbing that those within the Communion who feel the need to leave in order to remain faithful to their perception of Anglicanism seem so intent to run into the arms of a church which the 39 Articles several times denounces as being "in error".

Surely a better way forward for these groups is to ally themselves with one of the episcopal churches which are already in full communion with Canterbury, such as the Old Catholic Church?

In an ideal world of course these groups would be able to find a place within the broad church which is the Anglican Communion, unfortunately our world no longer seems able to accept diversity of opinion. It is though we have forgotten St Augustine's maxim: in essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things love.
