Holy Innocents: Human-bred evil in the midst of Christmas

Sorry to intrude on the Monday Funnies, but today marks the day of Holy Innocents, when it is said that King Herod killed all of the boys two-years-old and under in Bethlehem in an attempt to kill-off Jesus (Matthew 2:13-18 ). Whether it happened exactly that way is historically problematic, but it is a reminder of human-bred evil in the midst of the joy of Christmas.

Church of England Bishop Alan Wilson has a sobering meditation on this today on Thinking Anglicans. You can read his commentary HERE.
