Lux Aurumque sung from 12 countries

My cousin Sarah in Los Angeles sent this. She is very musical, and so thanks to Sarah, here is something contemplative and amazing for your Sunday. Composer Eric Whitacre offered a free download of his composition Lux Aurumque, and asked singers to submit a video of themselves singing. He thus created a virtual choir -- none of the singers were ever in the same room together. The choir is composed of 185 voices from 12 countries. Please take your time with this, it takes a few seconds to begin:

Jim, how absolutely transcendentally beautiful.

Thanks and continue to enjoy your well-deserved time away.

This is incredible. How they pulled it off - wow! The music is hauntingly beautiful, the voices so well blended, recorded all at once as the singers listened to the choir around them. What a feat. Thanks for the link - a real treat.
